Hopefully the Flyers can win tonight and take my mind off of Carson Wentz, at least for a little while.

JvR must really want out of Toronto now. He's stuck on a third line again....

If Radko has to be Radko hopefully it's Uncle Leo he does it to.

Scary that the Philadelphia team with the best outlook right now might be the Sixers?

Leafs play their top 3 lines fairly close in minutes.
If you were to call the bozak line the 3rd line, then jvr has been on the 3rd line all year.

Babcock rides whoever is hot that particular night, and jumbles the lines a lot.

What's up with Marner on the 4th line? Sophomore slump?

Just like the interference on Komarov, which resulted in a Voracek goal and maybe a Leafs loss, was a "normal play."

Good morning Flyers Buzzards. I'm taking my 8 year old son to his first game tonight. Looks like gates open at 5:30. We want to be there in time for warmups. Any idea what time that is?

You could probably chalk it up to somewhat of a sophomore slump. He’s been getting closer to where he was last year, a little snake bitten at times. Still has 19 points in 31 games. Just having a hard time scoring.

Also nylander has been on the 4th line the last few games. Marner has been with jvr and bozak. Marner hasn’t been on the 4th line in a few weeks.

Kind of an aside but made me think about it since he was talked about a lot as a terrible pick but Tyrell Gouhlbourne has actually been playing solid hockey. Now i know he is probably just a 4th line player at the NHL level but watching some games recently he moves really well and has a shorthander this year. Been playing PK for phantoms.

Not a big deal but nice to see development out of another player in the pipeline

A missed call on someone setting a pick is a pretty normal thing. A missed boarding where you drill the guy in the numbers about three feet from the wall in plain sight of the R1 ref and the R2 behind the play is NOT in the normal realm.

Great article about Coots' emergence as a top line forward:

I think Alt will have to go thru waivers if the Flyers want to send him down. He hasn't played 10 games, but according to my math he has been on the Flyers roster for 33 days: 12 days (October 30th thru November 10th) plus 21 days (November 22nd thru December 12th).

Exemptions

A player does not need to pass through waivers if the player has not been on the NHL active roster for a cumulative 30 days since last clearing waivers, and has not played in 10 or more NHL games. CBA Reference 13.2(b)

Alt will clear. He didn't show too much when up.

8 games 0 Points 0 +/- 2 PIM... not anything a team can't get by trying one of their prospects.

Who on this roster will take Komarov to task for the hit?

Be physical on him tonight, but don't put yourself in the hole by taking a bad penalty. (I'm talking to you Sasquatch!)

Gudas or Weise I'd hope. But I'm betting on the bad result of Simmer getting a 2-5-10 set for being the one who does it. Cause we all know Leo won't do anything until he's sure the person is getting 2-5-10 for asking him to dance.
